What is ceramic coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds to your car's clear coat and hardens into a thin, clear layer of glass-like protection. Unlike wax, it doesn't wash off. It stays on for years.

That layer takes the hits your paint would: UV rays, bird droppings, bug guts, tree sap, salt and hard water. Water beads up and rolls off, taking most of the dirt with it.

What it does

  • Deep, wet-looking gloss
  • Water and dirt slide off
  • Blocks UV fading and oxidation
  • Easier, faster washes
  • Lasts 2 to 5 years, not weeks

What it doesn't

  • Stop rock chips (that's paint protection film)
  • Fix scratches on its own (paint correction does that first)
  • Mean you never wash the car again

Why Florida paint needs it more.

Southwest Florida is hard on a car. Here is what a coating protects against every day in Charlotte County.

Year-round sun

Strong UV fades paint and turns clear coat chalky. The coating takes the UV so your paint doesn't.

Salt air

Living near Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf means salt settles on the car and eats at the finish. Coated paint rinses clean.

Lovebug season

Twice a year, lovebugs splatter the front end, and their acid can etch paint within days. On a coating they wipe right off.

Afternoon storms

Daily rain and hard sprinkler water leave spots that bake in. Water beads and runs off coated paint instead of sitting on it.

OUR COATINGS

Coatings for every surface.

Paint is just the start. We coat the parts that take the most abuse, inside and out.

01

Ceramic coating

Our core paint protection. A hard, glossy layer that bonds to the clear coat and lasts 2 to 5 years. The right pick for most cars, trucks and SUVs.

02

Graphene coating

Ceramic with graphene added. It runs a little slicker and is made to resist water spots, a good fit for cars that sit outside or get sprinkler spray.

03

Borophene coating

The newest generation of coating, made for the deepest gloss and the longest-lasting protection we offer.

04

Windshield & glass

Rain beads up and flies off the windshield at speed, so you see clearly in a downpour and use your wipers less.

05

Wheels & calipers

Brake dust is hot and sticky. A heat-resistant coating stops it baking onto the wheels, so they rinse clean.

06

Interior protection

A coating for leather, fabric, carpet and trim. Spills bead up and wipe away instead of soaking in, and the sun fades the cabin less.

THE PROCESS

How we coat your car.

A coating locks in whatever is under it, so most of the work happens before it goes on.

1

Look it over

We check the paint with you, point out swirls, scratches and chips, and agree on what the car needs.

2

Deep wash & decontamination

A careful hand wash, then iron remover and clay to lift the grit a normal wash leaves behind.

3

Paint correction

Machine polishing removes swirl marks and light scratches, so the coating seals in a clean, glossy finish, not the flaws.

How paint correction works
4

Prep wipe

Every panel is wiped down to strip polish oils, so the coating bonds straight to the clear coat.

5

Coat & cure

The coating goes on panel by panel, then cures. Wheels, glass and trim get their own coatings if you choose them.

6

Hand back & aftercare

We walk you through the finish and tell you exactly how to care for it, so it lasts as long as it should.

Many owners put film on the front of the car and ceramic coating everywhere else, including on top of the film.

Caring for a coated car.

A coating makes care easy, but it isn't a force field. These habits keep it working for years.

Do

  • Wait about a week before the first wash.
  • Hand wash with a pH-neutral car soap and a clean mitt.
  • Rinse off lovebugs, bird droppings and sap within a day or two.
  • Dry with a soft microfiber towel or a blower.
  • Come back for a yearly check and top-up.

Don't

  • Use automatic car washes with brushes. They scratch the coating and the paint.
  • Use dish soap or harsh degreasers.
  • Wash in direct midday sun, when water dries into spots.
  • Wax over the coating. It hides the coating's water beading.

Ceramic coating questions.

It depends on the size of your vehicle, the condition of the paint, the coating you pick and what else gets coated. Text us your year, make and model and we'll send you a quote.

In Florida, usually yes. The sun, salt air and lovebugs wear paint down fast, and a coating protects it for years instead of the weeks you get from wax. It also makes every wash quicker.

Yes, as long as the paint is corrected first. We polish out swirls and light scratches, then the coating locks in that finish, so an older car can look better than it has in years.

Yes, it's the best time. The paint has the fewest flaws, so there's less to fix first. New cars still pick up swirl marks at the dealer and on the truck, so we check the paint and give it a light polish if it needs one.

Our coatings last 2 to 5 years with simple care: regular hand washes and a yearly check.

Most cars are with us for 1 to 3 days. Paint correction takes most of the time, so a new car with clean paint is the quickest.

Wait about a week so the coating can fully harden. Rain in the first day or two is fine; we'll tell you the exact wait for your coating.

We don't recommend it. The brushes in most automatic washes leave fine scratches in the coating. A touchless wash is OK once in a while, but a hand wash is best.

They do different jobs. Film is a thick layer that stops rock chips; ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer for gloss and easy cleaning. Many owners film the front and coat the rest.

No. It's a thin, hard layer, not a cushion, so it won't stop rock chips or deep scratches. It does help against the fine marks a wash can leave. For chips, paint protection film on the front end is the answer, and a coating can go right over it.

Usually some, yes. The coating seals in whatever is under it, so we polish out swirls and scratches first. A new car often needs only a light polish.

Yes. Wheels and calipers get a heat-resistant coating so brake dust rinses off. Glass gets a coating that makes rain bead up and fly off. Seats, carpet and trim get a coating so spills wipe away. Add any of them to a paint coating.

We use professional-grade coatings that last 2 to 5 years.

Yes. We coat boats and RVs too.
